    Personality:

    Nadia is an extremely sweet girl, almost to a fault. She has a free and adventurous spirit and does not want to be tied down to one place. Every since she was a little girl, all she wanted to do was experience more and more. She loved to travel and see new things, meet new people, and discover the world. She's probably experienced more than the normal person because of how much she does travel. Because she is also different than most people, Nadia has seen hate, curiosity, disgust, love, wonder, and much much more come from the different people she has met over the years. Nadia has explored a lot of the Open Lands and most of Arcadia because of how much she has traveled as well. Nadia chose to explore Arcadia more than the other lands because of how accepting people seemed of her. There, the people are much more open and don't look down on her because of her ears. Other places, people looked down on her and were much less accepting of who/what she is. Nadia being criticized and insulted because of her ears happens quite a lot. When this happens, Nadia quite often runs away and hurries back to whatever is more familiar. She doesn't like, nor can she handle, people being so cruel to her, so she avoids it. This also comes from the lack of understanding too. Because she was quite sheltered when she was young, Nadia is quite naive and ignorant of the ways of the world, especially the people in it. The man who raised her, her adoptive Father, was so kind, caring, and gentle that she assumes most people will be like that as well, or at least similar to him.

    Nadia isn't so naive that she's stupid, though sometimes it can seem that way when you're talking to her. She's kind of an air head in action, but pretty smart in mind. Even with all of her horrible experiences, Nadia is able to keep a smile on her face for one reason: her memory. Nadia's memory is sort of stuck in one place, the night her Father was murdered. Ever since then, if something bad happens to her she blocks it out completely. She runs to what she knows and never faces her fears. If one figures anything out about her, they will realize that she runs because that is what her Father told her to do the night he was murdered. She ran and ran until she returned to her Father's side (something familiar) and then blocked out seeing his dead body  (the experience). Now, this is just what she does. She runs until she finds something she knows and then blocks the experience out. All of the memories are still there, but they're locked away in a box that is never opened. If that box was ever opened and her memories returned, it's possible that Nadia would suddenly turn into a completely different person. Because of her memory-lock allows her to be so naive, Nadia doesn't think of the consequences of her actions. She doesn't think on the terms of “what if” and has this “I can do it” attitude. Though at times it shows her innocence and can actually be cute, it can also get her into trouble and can also be a seriously annoying pain in the ass. It's amazing she hasn't gotten herself killed by now...

    Side Notes: Nadia has no idea she is of the Elven race. In fact, she doesn't know about their existence. When and if she finds out about them, she will finally realize why she is so different and why humans don't seem to like her. To them, she's different and they are unsure of how to handle it, so they reject her. Nadia has never fired a gun; this is hilarious because her powers are based off of them. Put a gun in her hand, she will freak out.

    History: Nadia was a baby when she was found floating along a river. A man working on the river to the West of Cieria was the one who found her. She was just an innocent baby, crying her eyes out. The only thing different between this adorable child and any other baby he had seen, was the strangely long ears she possessed. He took her in and gave her the name Nadia Cyanea, after his Mother. Nadia was raised as a normal child, but was isolated to the forests near Cieria. She and her Father lived in a cabin and rarely did he allow her to leave. As a child, her curiosity always got the best of her and she snuck off quite often. He went hunting for her of course, and usually found her unharmed, dirty, and with a smile on her face. There was always something very innocent about every action that Nadia took. It was like she always wanted to learn, to see, and experience more, but never thought of the consequences behind her actions. No matter how much trouble she got in, her Father was there to save her. He protected her and called her his treasure, the only thing in his life that seemed worth dying for. Nadia loved her Father more than anything, but she had a problem obeying his rules. One day, she snuck off far enough that she ran into a few other people, likely from the territory of Cieria. These people looked down at this innocent little girl with disgust and hatred, looking at her ears as if they were some sort of mutation. When she was repeatedly insulted and struck by these people, she began to run back home to where she was familiar. They chased her for quite some time, but the moment they came to the river, the little white haired girl dove into the water and never came out. The people who chased her began walking through the forest again, saying things like "Serves the little demon right. I hope she drowns in that river." These words caught the ear of Nadia's Father, who quickly ran to the river to see whether his daughter was okay, hoping she was.

    When Nadia had jumped into the river, she didn't realize that it wasn't very deep at all, and her head struck a rock. The hit caused Nadia to fall unconscious and her body fall to the bottom. Her Father yelled for her, looking around in a panic for Nadia. Finally, the words hit Nadia's ears minutes later and she sat up as if she weren't even in water. She looked up and around to see that her Father was walking around, yelling for her. "I'm here!" she popped her head up from the water and waved to him, acting like nothing had ever even happened. He ran to her as fast as he could, pulled her into his arms, and for the first time ever, Nadia saw the strongest man she had ever known cry. "I thought I had lost you." he told her, embracing his little girl as if he never wanted to release her. "No, Daddy. I'm okay." Nadia looked at him with a confused, but very innocent expression. She had not even realized the danger she was just in. He explained to her that she could have drowned and shocked him when she shook her head and said she could breath under the water. Nadia showed him what she meant and smiled from the bottom of the slow moving river and waved up at him. Nadia's Father knew then that she was blessed with the ability to use Arcana, unlike him. "How wonderful." he told her. He also told her to make sure she always treated her gift preciously, to never use it to harm anyone who didn't deserve it. As usual, Nadia took his words to heart, but he expected that she wouldn't listen to him. She rarely did. Her curious personality always kept her sneaking off and going on her own little 'adventures', so why would she listen now? It was quite simple, she knew what was right and wrong. Nadia knew that hurting people was bad, but didn't ever understand why meeting people and going new places was bad. That is why she listened to one lesson and pushed off the other.

    The years went along like normal, but as Nadia grew up, she was able to help her Father more often. Now at the age of eight, she helped him with the few crops and hunting missions that he went on. She always wanted to travel, so to keep her from sneaking off, he used these trips to get some of that curiosity out. It worked to a certain degree, but she was always wanting more and more. He feared the day she would be old enough to go out on her own and likely leave him back in the forest alone. Unfortunately, that wasn't ever going to happen. In fact, when Nadia turned ten and her Father took her out to the lake, they ran into a person that she would never forget. A young woman by the name of Eira von Zarkonheinz was hurt by something that she never explained and used them. This woman used them to get medical treatment. Even though she rarely spoke, never smiled, and never seemed to care about anything she said, Nadia tried her hardest to become friends with Eira. For two weeks, while Eira was healing the horrible wounds she had received, presumably in battle, they fed and housed her. One day, when Eira was up and ready to go everything changed. Nadia was out playing for a bit and got a shout from her Father, who wanted her to come say by to Eira. Like a child would, Nadia became slightly attached to Eira during the small encounters they had. When Nadia returned to the cabin to say bye to her friend she was greeted with a grotesque sight. "I said keep your hands off of me." the woman demanded of her Father. "I was just trying to help you with your armor." her Father replied in horror with blood dripping down his chest and his mouth. "Daddy!!" Nadia screamed in terror and hurried towards him, but was suddenly pushed back by his arm. Eira had swung her large black blade to strike Nadia, to kill her. "Leave my daughter alone!" he demanded, only to be stabbed again. "N-Nadia... R-Run."

    One of the orders she decided to obey out of fear, Nadia ran. Crying as she ran, Nadia heard a final yell from her Father. It wasn't too long after that when she heard footsteps behind her. She looked back just for a moment, and here she came. Eira, uncaring that she was a child, was actually chasing her down in an attempt to kill her. "I thought you were my friend!" Nadia screamed out as she began running along the river, "Why did you hurt my Daddy!!!" She glanced back just in time to realized Eira had gotten very close and jumped out of the way just barely being missed. Eira kicked Nadia extremely hard, sending the small child tumbling roughly along the ground. Luckily, she was not hurt too bad and was able to get up and run. She ran into the darker parts of the forest since she knew them better and was able to find her hiding spot. She watched Eira looking for her from this spot, but it seemed Eira could not find her. Thinking she could get down and find her Daddy, she began running back home, but was caught. Eira stepped out in front of her and once again tried to kill her, but Nadia tripped and fell before the sword hit. Dumb luck, it just wasn't her time. After that Nadia ran again, screaming for help, but obviously no one was coming. She came to the river and ran along it, but Eira was right on her tail. Soon, she knew a water fall was coming up and that she wasn't going to be able to go anywhere. Unfortunately, Eira got to her before she got to the falls and ended up falling into the river. She never saw Eira again, but her body floated down river, unconscious, until it fell down the falls, luckily missed rocks, and she laid at the bottom of the lake for hours before waking up. Once she did, the first thing she did was go home, but was horrified to see that everything she knew and loved had been burned to the ground. She could even see the outline of her Father's body laying where her home once was. Every since that day, Nadia has come to fear the name Eira von Zarkonheinz.

    From there, Nadia had no idea what to do. She stayed at her burned down home for three days before she decided to finally get up and leave. She began heading North, though to her it was a random direction. After days of travel, she came to a village and was very hungry, but no one would help her. She was called a 'freak' over and over again because of her ears and was shunned by anyone who would not insult her. She ended up stealing a loaf of bread from one of the vendors and making a run for it before she starved to death. They tried chasing her down, but she was able to avoid them all. After eating, she slept. When she awoke, it was from bad nightmares and she realized her memory was fuzzy. She was beginning to suppress the bad things that happen to her. After some time, she ran into a woman by the name of Luxanna who helped her out with food and some money, but they parted ways. Two years later, when she was ten, she ran into that same woman in Arcadia and stayed with her for some time. The two lived together for some time, studying the Arcane before Luxanna decided it was her time to leave. Nadia was now fourteen, so they said their goodbyes and Nadia went on exploring and practicing her magic. She noticed their was something different about hers in comparison to most people around; she could only use water. Another difference was that she could use items, but they weren't enchanted. Because people called her a freak enough, she refused to tell anyone and began practicing archery and The Arcane alone. Once she turned sixteen, she decided it was time to move on and began traveling again. As if fate were trying to keep them together, it didn't take long for Nadia to run into Luxanna again. With Luxanna was a man by the name of Pariah. They began talking about creating a group called The Noir, and from there the rest is history...

    Element

    Racial Ability: Animal Communication

    Type: Water
    Description: Like every other water elf in existence, Nadia has the ability to manipulate water to her will. However, it is not the ability to do so that makes each elf special, but how they choose to do it. An elves technique and skill is what gives them the advantage. It's easy to say 'move the water', but if there is no specific intent behind it, there is no point in moving the water in the first place. When it comes to Nadia, she has chosen a path of speed and accuracy. She doesn't use large or overwhelming attacks. She chooses to use smaller and extremely accurate attacks that rarely miss. These attacks also have enough force behind them, because of their speed, that they act like modern weapons: bullets, rpg's, missiles.

    Water Pistol: As the title suggests, this is a bullet of water. With a fire rate similar to a normal pistol, only a single bullet shoots at per shot, but if Nadia chooses to 'pull the trigger' over and over again, more can and will come. She has a total of nine shots per 'clip'. The way this works, Nadia surrounds her hands with water. This water is then moved up towards the tip of her index finger and then shot off towards whatever she is pointing at. The 'bullet' of water shoots out from the tip of her finger at the same speed as the average pistol, allowing the force behind this water to be equal to that of an actual pistol and not just water.

    Water Assault: Everything about this attack is very similar to the previously named, except this has the traits of an assault rifle; an example of what is meant being an AK47, fully automatic. With this, she holds thirty shots and the water she surrounds her hands with moves up to the middle of her lower arm. This is also referring to Water Pistol; with both of these attacks, Nadia is able to duel wield. She has two arms, two guns. And, also referring to both, if Nadia needs to reload, she takes 1 second (if pistol) or 2 seconds (if assault) to reload each 'gun'.

    Water RPG: This is obviously not as powerful as an actual RPG; it doesn't have the burning explosion effect. Instead, it is used as more of a very strong push. Nadia surrounds her entire arm with water and aims a fist towards her target. When the water is shot off, it's shot all at once and at the same speed you would see an RPG actually flying. The effect is different because there is no metal, gun powder, or fire. Instead, the water will slam against the target at a high enough speed to (if a person) knock them back or (if an object) dent, move, or break it.

    Water Missile: This attack is actually quite large. Nadia surrounds both arms in water and them aims both arms towards a target. The water on both arms is shot off at such a high speed at it, that Nadia's body is unable to stand it's ground. Nadia must do something about the recoil for this attack, otherwise she can be sent flying for at least fifty feet, and that's if her body doesn't slam into something along the way. There have been times that Nadia has placed her back against a wall or tree to pull this off. She has also had someone hold her still to do it as well. The blast of this missile of water, on impact, spreads out and is super cooled at a high rate. In other words, anything caught within the blast radius will be covered in ice. The blast radius is fifty to seventy five feet.

    Living Water Turret: This ability is just fun. Firstly, take "Water Assault" and put it here. Now you've got the base of this ability. The fun part comes with the fact that Nadia can shoot up to three hundred bullets in one with this. The draw backs come with her not being able to move. To be able to concentrate enough to do this, Nadia has to give her self a sturdy base. In other words, she surrounds her feet and the ground around her with ice to keep herself still and not have the recoil forcing her to lose her balance and knock her on her ass. This forces her to be a stationary target, which can put her at a huge disadvantage. While she is in this though, she can continuously shoot at anything she points at until all three hundred (150 per arm) bullets are used up. Doing this also depletes her Anima at 2 times the rate if she used it normally.

    Ice Shield: This is a 10x10x10 solid ice wall that Nadia is able to create by rapidly bringing together the water in the air and reducing their temperature at the same time. The wall appears within .2 seconds and it's strong solid nature allows it to block extremely strong sudden attacks or medium to weak continuous attacks. To compare, a sudden attack would be her missile while her assault rifle would be considered a continuous.

    Ice Shield and Bullet Combo: After creating the ice shield, if the circumstances area right, Nadia will use the shield to also attack. By repeatedly 'poking' the shield on her side, a small barrage of bullets equal to the amount of 'pokes' she has done on her side fly forward. This is incredibly damaging for someone who had just attacked her at close range and she used this wall to block them. Being so close, she has the ability to tear them to shreds. If they are farther away, she can't use this combination because the bullets only go one way, so she can't see them to aim.

    Iced Arrows: This is what allows Nadia to use her bow. She creates two types of arrows. Normal arrows made completely of ice, or 'explosive' tip. The explosive tip have four strengths: weak, moderate, strong, and don't make Nadia angry. These explosive tip arrows freeze the surrounding areas of the target at the point of impact. Weak arrows merely freeze within an inch or two, usually only effective on fire elves because of their weakness to water/ice based attacks. Moderate arrows can freeze an entire limb or up to three feet from impact. Strong arrows have the ability to freeze an entire human body or up to teen feet from impact.

    "Don't make Nadia angry" arrows are ones that she actually takes 3-5 seconds to concentrate and charge up. The only time she has used this was when a dragon was attacking a group of kids about six months ago. There was no way for her to defeat it, but at it charged up it's breath attack, she shot her arrow and froze it's entire body, including a large area behind it. This arrow completely engulfs it's target in ice, but once it's done that, it intentionally spreads up to fifty feet around it to make sure that the ice can't be broken out of. After that, for every passing minute, the ice slowly freezes the inside of the body that was hit. A human will be completely frozen within an hour of being struck. It really is a horrible way to die, but like any arrow it is able to be dodged, and Nadia can remove the ice if she wished as well. Because this is Nadia's ice, and no one elses, her Anima is meshed within it, so no other person out there can take this ice off. And this is only done to this arrow because it's the only arrow she has specifically altered to do such a thing.

    Skills:


    • Minor Skills:
    • Stealthy: Nadia, having traveled a lot, is a hunter and can make herself unseen while she's wandering the forests. She almost moves with the forest and knows how to use the trees, bushes, and shadows to her advantage, which is actually one hell of an accomplishment considering she's as white as snow.
    • Swift: Nadia is naturally fast, but she's also got a grace and fluidity about her movements. She can do something very quietly and her body is extremely flexible, so she can maneuver very well.
    • Archery: Master. That's really all one can say. She's mastered it.
    • Hand-to-Hand Combat: Novice. She knows a few of the basics, but the lack of strength within her body doesn't allow her to do basics. She merely uses this to allow herself to dodge until she can get away. She fights better at longer ranges, so being close isn't good for her.
